Hardwood Components, Inc. is a small, family owned and operated hardwood sawmill. Our country store is located 21 miles east of Salem, Oregon on Highway 22, near the small town of Mehama. We have enjoyed doing business here as a family for over 40 years. We carry a unique selection of locally grown woods that will appeal to the hobbyist as well as the professional craftsman and artist. We do not import any of our lumber. We manufacture and dry all of it on site. As such, we prefer to sell mill direct so we can satisfy the specific needs of our customers.

Been trying for two weeks to get a simple question on pricing answered on two very standard sized pieces of material before driving all the way there. Couldn't get an answer via email despite sending them all the detailed information they wanted on what my project was so I called to ask them about pricing and couldn't even get a straight answer then. It should not be that difficult to tell someone the ballpark price of a 2x4 and a 4x4. Guess I won't be wasting my time to drive out to Stayton.

A very efficiently run family business that I have enjoyed doing business with for over the past 2 years with my small home improvement projects. It is a father and daughter team with utmost sincerity and integrity with quality products.at very reasonable prices. I drive over 60 miles one way from Vancouver to visit them and it has been nothing but a very pleasant experience, . They have one worker in the mill and he is absolutely an expert in getting your order ready.
