This company came to install a vinyl floor in my kitchen with 3/4 round moldings. Their work was so poor on the moldings they had to come back to fix many areas. They put a transition in one door and the door would not close and the transition wasn't even attached! The other door transition was buldging up due to a poor cut and also not even attached correctly. Now, I have noticed scratch marks where they had to remove the molding to fix their mistakes and glue on other areas of the floor. I am not sure where the glue came from since there is no glue used to install this floor. I'm so fed up and disappointed.

I had to change my carpets to hardwood floors, and shopped around for 1-2 months, speaking with at least 10 businesses. I noticed the J Brothers Flooring office sign as I was casually driving, and decided to stop in. Their online reviews were sparse. The Somerset office was simple and unassuming (they have now moved to another location in Middlesex, which I have not been to).
The owner, Jack, was professional and down to Earth. He did not talk like a "salesman, " which I liked. He gave me different choices and did not pressure me into expensive options (in fact, he tried to find ways to save me money based on my budget). My family was also with me, and he included them in the conversation. He stopped by my house to take measurements, and was respectful (removed his shoes without asking).
I decided to go with him because I felt he had great business ethics and was trustworthy. His guys did a GREAT job, and even handled my furniture with care. I looked at all the corners and their precision was impressive. It felt more like a true custom job than a "contractor" job. I had one small area that needed to be fixed, and Jack sent his guys and did the repair for free.
I talked to another flooring guy who said "it's not physically possible - you need to rip out the whole area and re-do it." However, one of Jack's main guys did it in an hour. There's a lot of flooring companies out there, but I would recommend you give them a shot! They do other stuff as well (carpeting, tiles), but I have not yet used them for it.
