This is not an easy business to be in but Tom Abbott does all things right to make customers happy. Tom is the new owner and I gave him a 5 star Google review because of his friendly service great prices and outstanding installation crew He deserves to be the number one flooring company in Eastwrn Montgomery county. This company is by far the best!

They did 4 rooms (3 baths and a mudroom) with "luxury" vinyl tile. Would give 10 stars because: 1. Listened to my questions and answered substantively and without being demeaning. (Concerns about would doors open/close and would thresholds be too high. It all turned out PERFECT!) 2. CLEAN. Photos are after they cleaned up. I didn't have to clean up after them. 3. Came when they said they would. 4.
Cost what they said it would cost. 5. The craftsmanship and detail were SUPURB. 6. Good teamwork getting the toilets in and out. 7. Planning more work with this group in a few weeks. They did our kitchen floor in 2006 and it held up really well. But we like this tile so much we are strongly considering doing the kitchen and sunroom in the same tile. Don't hesitate! The installers make all the difference.

I would like to begin this review with pros and cons. Pro: affordable, beat out other companies Con: owner does not respect customers, and the time of customers. does not call to notify late install times, and openly will insult his own staff and the customer over the phone until you hang up. I had an unfortunate call with the owner when i called to inquire about the installers being late.
I had brief interactions with the owner before this, at the show room, no issue. He rescheduled my job because his installers had a fishing trip or something. fine. Then the morning of install, its almost an hour past when they are to be here. I call and ask, and i just get an earful of; well this happened, and that happened, and they are in this city finishing up a job.
I said, well then please call me to let me know so i am not just sitting here waiting for them. I get just berated and at one point i just hang up. i called back 5 min later to speak to the owner to let him know i don't appreciate being spoken to this way. He goes off on me again, and i basically told him that after this interaction I will never do business here again, and i will never recommend his company for referrals.
Hey nick, just because you're stressed out, don't openly insult your own staff over the phone when your desk sits in the MIDDLE OF THE STORE. Your customer service skills are that of a selfish toddler and I will never speak with you or your company after today. The install guys that came to my house were very professional, kind, and pleasant people. The install seems to be of good quality. So theres that.

Other than accommodating our service date, the quality of refinishing was poor from start to finish. Entryways were left unblocked resulting in a thick layer of dust covering our moved furniture and newly renovated kitchen. Electric panel was left off the wall after turning off breakers. nicked and stained baseboards. Paint touchup now on new floors. Stain on the walls. Unfinished spots that had to be recoated.
New coat was now glossy rather than satin. Floors are less durable now than before. Explanations were given as if we were naive homeowners and the glossy clear coat was not corrected. Not happy!

Had my new basement carpeted and a small section covered in vinyl. Originally scheduled my Appointment for Monday but called the owner Nick on Thursday and requested to move the appointment up to Friday. He had no problem accommodating us. The price was reasonable and I like to support small local businesses. The two installers were very professional and knowledgable. We couldn't be happier with the installation.

I wish I had read these reviews. They tend to be on the higher price point, but I'm OK if I get good customer service. Unfortunately, I didn't receive good customer service. Next day installation, as promised, is a sales pitch. I had to wait a week for installation. Then it didn't happen in one day. It was scheduled for Tuesday, which they wanted to move to partially Monday and finishing on Tuesday.
Since we had scheduled our work around it, we said to keep it on Tuesday. However, the carpeting for one of the rooms didn't arrive in time and they had to return. In scheduling their second installation, I was told they wanted to work around my schedule. "Thursday works best for me". "We have another installation scheduled that day. How about Wednesday?" So, I rearranged my schedule in the middle of a very busy day to, well, work around their schedule.
Oh yes, the agreed upon time was 11:30 and I received a call a little after 11 asking where was I? Ummm, still in a meeting which is why I made it 11:30. Also, I asked for the left over carpet so we could make runners out of it. "There wasn't much left". There should have been an approximately 9' x 9' piece left over, plenty to make a few runners but evidently that's not much left. You'd think we'd get a small price break for our inconvenience. But, no, the price was paid in full. Carpeting runs about $5 sq foot installed for a "mid price" selection.
They did clean up and didn't have to move furniture because it was a house we had just purchased. If you're considering using them, keep on looking. If you think you're paying a premium price for good customer service, you'll be very disappointed. A final note. I updated my review because of a challenging phone call from the owner, 2 months after my review.
I originally said a remnant was for sale at the store from my installation. I was told extra carpet was ordered and I did not pay for it. I double checked the paperwork and I was charged for what was installed. Well, all except the 9 x 9 cut out that wasn't installed and vanished, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have to agree with the other reviews. I had some of the EXACT same problems. They clearly do not learn their lesson. I called for an estimate for refinishing of my wood floors and they promptly sent out a third party surveyor for measurements. I was quickly given an estimate including all work, to include ripping up carpet and disposing of materials.
I let Nick know that I had already completed all of that and would only need the refinishing. He adjusted to estimate and we set up a date. The very next day he called me and asked me when his team could come and take out the carpet. I was dumbfounded, we had just went over this the day before. I explained I didn't need that, again. He then asked if I could please send in a deposit for the job.
I promptly did so. A week later I received a phone call asking me where the deposit was. I explained I had sent it in in the postmarked envelope he sent me. He said it must be around somewhere. (What kind of office are you running where you lose $1500 checks?). I received an invoice in the mail from him specifying the date and time of install approx. two weeks prior.
On the day of install I waited two hours, no one showed up. I called. Nick was out of town and the employee on the phone informed me that I had been rescheduled for two weeks later. WHAT?! I SPECIFICALLY requested these dates due to my wife's pregnancy. He informed me that the crew scheduled to refinish my floors had taken vacation. W.T.F.? Further, he said that in the notes it had said that Nick had been in touch with me and let me know.
Not a chance in the world that happened. I spoke with Nick the following day. He said he had thought he had left a message on my phone. First, he hadn't. Second, that's enough to change contracted date? He also said he sent me a letter with the new dates. He didn't. I have both letters in my home specifying the same dates we had originally scheduled.
He was defensive and rude. He said, "Well, look, I have lots of calls that I make, I'm not sure if I spoke with you." You can't make that up. I cancelled my work order and am waiting for my deposit to be returned. Definitely would NOT recommend.

Very dissatisfied! We had gone in and spoke with the owner and picked out the carpet we wanted right away. Someone came out and did the measurements, but the final estimate they gave us was for a much lower quality carpet. The price difference was major. We still decided to have them install and set up an appointment for later that week. On the day of install, they did not show or call.
Over 3 hours after the scheduled time, we had to call and the owner acted very confused as to what the previously scheduled time had been, although we had the receipt with the time on it that the owner had written. A different time was scheduled, no apologies were made by them. The new install day they showed up over an hour early and we had been told it would take 5 hours tops.
During the install they blocked access to our kitchen and bathroom. The total install time was 9 hours. There was a guarantee of cleaning up and putting all furniture back, and this did not occur. Old carpet tacks were found all over the new carpet, and the mess left outside (a trail of carpet pieces) was terrible. Our complaints seemed to fall on deaf ears. An air conditioner was broken by one of the subcontractors and there were still no apologies.
When we went to pay the remaining balance, we were told that our initial 1300 payment could not be found. These people are extremely disorganized and overall careless. We will not be using them again.
