Over the past about 9 years, I have used Johnson Fine Floors for multiple projects at my house. Both Mike and Debbie, the company owners, helped me throughout the process extensively, were very attentive to my needs and my budget and brought each of the multiple projects to completion ON TIME and at the price quoted. I cant thank them enough for their assistance management of the projects I hired them for. FIVE STARS!

We replaced our entire house flooring with LVP from Johnson's fine floors in October, and I want to provide you with a straightforward and honest review from start to finish. Selection: They have a great selection of in stock and quick ship products that met our needs. The floor deeply dented/scratched in one spot already by someone bumping into a bed and the leg scraping the floor.
All furniture likely needs pads underneath. Pricing: My biggest recommendation if you are unfamiliar with all of the added costs of installing LVP is to ask for a full itemized quote prior to making any decisions about who to select. Mike let me know upfront the cost was $3 sq/ft to install and $5 sq/ft for the product. So I took the square footage of my home and multiplied by $8 sq/ft.
I was about to place my order for product, but asked for an itemized quote to have on hand for reference. I was shocked when I got the itemized quote that had additional fees including about $6,000 for demolition, fees for a dumpster, fees for leveling compound ($60 per bag and it was used for the whole house without communicating to us prior the need for it), etc.
Just be aware a full house flooring project is way more expensive than the $8 sq/ft you may be thinking. Timing: Mike was able to get out to our home quickly to measure and the project was able to start on time the day we closed on our new house! We needed this as we were on a tight schedule. Installers: There is no oversight from the flooring company during installation.
For the price paid, I expected Mike or another high level associate to come by the house to inspect the work done. Instead, I had to make multiple calls to Mike to fix sloppy work done. Only about half of my requests were actually fixed. I had the installers come back multiple times and finally gave up as they speak very little English. At this point, I feel Mike should have stepped in to ensure the job was done well.
It was also evident the installers lacked the correct tools to lay the flooring around curved edges or toilets. They only had a miter saw, not a jig saw or circle saw. The installers remove toilets, but do not reinstall them. So, when I went to reinstall the toilets, there were huge gaps of LVP, which looks so tacky and cheap. When I addressed this with Mike, he said they would ensure the master bathroom was done correctly as they hadn't laid flooring in that room yet.
It wasn't. So I reached out to Mike months ago to fix this and he said he would send someone out asap. To this day, no one has been sent and it looks terrible. There are also planks that are not fully engaged and they simply shoved caulk in to remedy the problem. This is very problematic for a bathroom that you do not want moisture seeping through to the subfloor in. Additionally, when you walk up and down the stairs, the stair noses feel loose and not secure. Lastly, even though they used leveling compound that we had to pay an extra fee for for the entire house, there are boards you walk on that feel hollow underneath, which shouldn't exist if the compound was laid correctly. Communication: There was a lack of communication during the installation process that was unprofessional.
I went to look at the house after work and noticed only one small bathroom had been laid all day. The project was supposed to be done by the end of the day, yet half of the upstairs was missing flooring. I had to reach out to Mike to figure out what was going on. When I did, I was informed they ran out of flooring and had to order more and they could come back next week to finish.
As a customer, I feel this should have been communicated to me. I shouldn't have to ask for an update like this especially when a week long delay is in going to occur. All in all, I would proceed with caution and make sure to ask every question prior to selecting this company.

We lived in California for 30 years. We have hired many contractors for our different properties from painting, backyard kitchens, Solar, Kitchen remodeling and general fixing. Many try to upsell you or bait and switch. We had good ones and bad ones. When we were looking for flooring experts to put in Karndean Looselay floors we got 4 quotes. Our first great experience was that our property was so new that you can't find it on Google. Mike came out and could not find the place.
I was on the road and guided him to the place. The new home builder was there with contractors finishing up interior and exterior painting and I thought they were still working. Mike got there and no one was there. Most contractors especially in California would have gone irate. Mike was very cool and said he will come back on Tuesday the following week.
This was the first great sign. I then went to his store front and met with his wife to show me the different flooring samples. She went out of her way to pull all the samples. Great experience number 2. Out of the 4 quotes Mike was the 2nd lowest and the fastest to respond. My wife wanted to go with the lowest and came highly recommended by the house inspector who had that contractor put in his wood floors.
I just had a good feeling about Mike and his family so I convinced my wife to go with Mike. My gut feeling was right. Mike, Victor and his crew were great and professional. They did a better job than the home builders. The caulking was professional, whereas the new home builders seems they were using someone that did cleaning windows for a living. Victor went out of his way to make sure the Hefa or Queen of the house was happy for she is a hawk for detail.
The floors came out beautiful and the Hefa and I was very very happy. We had the best experience in all the years of dealing with contractors. Victor is great and a gem. The Hefa and I highly recommend Johnson fine floors. Happy wife is a happy life.

Johnson Fine Floors was very efficient. Mike quickly came to the house to measure and got us a quote in a very timely manner. In addition, their quote was far less than other quotes we got. Mike was very helpful in delivering sample tile to, and picking up from, our home. I highly recommend Johnson Fine Floors.

My husband and I are remodeling our home and we chose Johnson Fine Floors on Steck Avenue to put in our new White Oak engineered wide plank floors. The price quoted for the work was reasonable and fair. The customer service from the beginning to end of our project was outstanding. The installation team was on time every day and worked quickly to put the new wood floors in our entire house (with the exception of one bedroom).
Our contractor Mr. Jorge Torres could not have been nicer or more reliable. The communication was great and was always completely professional. This was a complicated project with different wood plank lengths, and this installation team knew exactly what it was doing. The beautiful finished floor is truly artistic and stunning. I HIGHLY recommend Johnson Fine Floors for your floor installation project.

Best customer service and fastest work I've ever seen, that says a lot coming from the wife of a builder. We bought a house and had a 5 day window to tear out all current flooring and replace it...Johnson Fine Floors finished in 2 and we have a 2500 sq ft home! All our neighbors wanted the companies information. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We bought a house early last year and the whole house carpet and some tile needed to go. After visiting many other stores we got a tip from my friend as how much she loved her floors from Johnson Fine Floors
The prices were great, the wood selection was great. They made it absolutely fantastic. Every interaction we had was great, from time spent in the store (we don't make decisions too quickly), taking samples home, to the day he came over for the estimate.
He was so different than the other flooring stores estimators. They showed up late and kinda grumpy, he showed up exactly on time and was quite pleasant. It was like he wanted our business! Other companies had wanted to do t-bars through doorways and along the fireplace He said his team wouldn't use those T-bars for any part of the house but only the actual wood.
We got the natural Acacia engineered. Not too light, not too dark. More of a caramel with light and dark streaks. They explained that the solid wood would not work for our house as we had no air conditioning or heating. So it would not be climate controlled which had to do with the warranty . They removed the carpet and tile for quite a reasonable price, did the prep work of leveling and installed the floors,
Now we have the most beautiful floors,
And we can walk into the store with any questions or just to say hello and it's like going to see an old friend. The floors are what made our house beautiful... wood stairs are amazing.
