We are considering installing bamboo flooring that is engineered with a core of SPC and Ambient had 7 different colors to choose from. Also, they offer 5 free samples with free shipping, and it was very easy to order the three that interested us. They also have many other types of bamboo, luxury vinyl plank, and eucalyptus flooring. The prices seem reasonable and free shipping comes with orders over 600 sq. feet.
I took off one star because the search results filter was annoying. It reset every time I checked an additional filter, forcing me to scroll down to get back to the list of filters so I could add more. I can't comment on the flooring as the samples were just shipped.

The durability of this product was clearly demonstrated when the pallet with 450 sq ft of my flooring fell off the back of the delivery truck. A couple of ends of some planks got dinged up, and the strapping did a little damage to the bottom grooves of some other planks. In total, about 6 planks had minor damage. Ambient shipped me another box just in case there was more serious hidden damage, but my contractor was shocked when he saw the pictures of the load strewn on the road in front of my house compared to the minimal damage to the product. The floor was installed on schedule and my wife and I love it.

We ordered bamboo flooring and only got half the order before the "shipping delays" I have to say everyone at this company kept in touch, Chuck was my first contact and always emailed right back. After months of waiting, when the second half came in they asked if we wanted a photo or a sample to make sure it matched. We took a sample and all was good. Love the floors!

We had never installed flooring before and were a bit skeptical about ordering the supplies online. We founded Ambient through another website and ended up emailing them with some questions. Chuck was a pleasure to deal with! He is very knowledgeable and was able to clearly (and extremely promptly!) answer all our questions before we even bought anything.
He sent us a few free flooring samples to consider. We ended up purchasing Natural Bamboo flooring from them. We had professional installers install it and we are very happy with the results! It's a high-quality product: you can see that if you compare with the bamboo flooring from other stores. We also had some leftover supplies that we haven't used, so we shipped them back to Ambient.
We received the notice of the refund (minus the restocking and shipping fees) in just two days after sending the stuff back! Lastly Ambient's website is awesome: you can probably find close to 90% of the answers you were looking for: from the instructions on how to lay the flooring to how to send stuff back for a refund. I think all businesses should be run like Ambient!

My bamboo floors are spectacular. I went for Oyster Shell Rigid Core Bamboo. I feel happy looking at them literally every day! It is July and they were installed last December. So far they have performed beautifully. The communication experience was also very reassuring all along. I was on the phone with Ambient many times before and after I made the order.
They were on the other coast, and I wanted to feel confident that I am getting a right product and good service for a fair price. I modified my order two times, the second time literally at the last moment. They were ready and willing to accommodate the changes and explained the shipping process so I did feel safe with the timing. The local company that delivered the floor to my address was great too with thorough communication and extra help.
A few packages were slightly torn but all the planks arrived in perfect condition. The installers appreciated the quality of the planks. I feel it's been a great choice. Very thankful for the entire experience. Way to go, Ambient.

Bought Schooner Keel bamboo rigid spc click lock and love it. It looks great was installed by installer recommended by Ambient in just over 3 hours. (220 sq. ft.) There was one small issue with getting a few boxes of wrong flooring and an employee drove an hour to my home in her personal vehicle to swap out incorrect boxes the next day! And to top it all off there was a small issue with the installer and Ambient called them and a supervisor showed up in an hour to remedy the install issue. Very pleased with product and can't recommend company enough.

This is the third project we have done with the Ambient Bamboo Ashwood Distressed Click Bamboo. My wife and I replaced the carpet flooring in her office, turned an overflow room in the basement into an office, and just finished up the hallway in the basement. The product is easy to work with and with the right tools almost anyone can install it like a professional.
The people at Ambient are great to work with and have made each purchase and pick up easy. I would highly recommend Ambient Bamboo flooring to anyone considering a remodel and replacement of flooring.

This flooring is crap. Several pieces out the box are unusable. Pieces splinter easily. Pieces warped out of the box and don't line up straight with edges. I dont recommend this brand. After install, gaps started forming bigger than you would expect. I acclimated for over two weeks. They claim after three days. Extra water treatment is a bunch of marketing pitches.

We spent nearly a year researching flooring for our kitchen, dining room and great-room. I tried really hard but couldn't find a negative review. Being handy with tools, I was able to install it myself. The floors came out great. So far they seem very durable. I had taken a sharp screwdriver and scrapped the sample surface. Barely a mark! Our dogs haven't been able to do any damage either. People love our floors and I highly recommend their flooring to others.

I did a lot of research and spoke with a lot of companies in our search for new hardwoods. Lots of wood samples, too. We ended up purchasing from Ambient. We had a problem with delivery, but Ambient made it right with no hassles. We hired a private contractor for installation after letting the wood acclimate in our house (in the dining room, out of the box) for a few weeks.
We have had our floors now for over 2 years. The folks at Ambient were fantastic to work with, and the quality of the wood was outstanding for the price I paid. As others mentioned, very few unusable boards. We are extremely happy.

I can't say enough about how great, helpful, and knowledgeable the staff at Ambient is. I met them at a home show in Chantilly 2 years ago and took home samples of their bamboo and eucalyptus flooring. I went in one Saturday and they provided me more samples about 10 months ago, then 6 months ago I ordered a box of flooring to pick up and lay around my kitchen.
I finally bought flooring, choosing the Cafe Brown matte eucalyptus hand scrapped. They were great with coordinating the delivery to my home; make sure you have help moving the boxes (I had 11 on a skid) into your home and you open flooring to acclimate. They are open and willing to talk to your installer to explain how this flooring must be installed for those in the remodel industry who aren't used to using such a dense wood. The flooring (and step) look great. Again, thanks.

My experience with Ambient was about as perfect as it gets. From the samples I received in the mail, pictures or the floors I was considering and the friendly and responsive sales rep Tim, it made my choice easy. Knowing someone would give me honest feedback and opinions set my mind at ease. Delivery was simple and that was a fear of mine. The floors were delivered on time and my installer commented how easy the floors were to install and how they were the strongest floors he has worked with.
The Eucalyptus floor has now been in my home for over a year. I live in Florida, on the water and on concrete. We glued the floor down to the concrete on the main level and have had no issues. Kids tracking water from the pool, plenty of spills and our dog always running around and no issues. A family of 4 with an active large dog and we never even worry about the floor. Couldn't be happier! Thanks Tim and Ambient!

We had our bamboo floors installed about 1 1/2 months ago and are extremely happy with them, but can't speak to the long term durability quite yet. I have to praise Ambient on the excellent customer service we received when we had issues with their shipping partner, UPS Freight. UPS rescheduled our delivery four times, with extremely late notice (i.e. near the end of the delivery window) or even no notice at all.
I spoke with Jon at Ambient and he listened to my explanation patiently and expressed concern with how UPS was handling the delivery. He told me he would speak with their UPS rep. I wasn't expecting anything from Ambient; I just wanted them to know how their shipping partner was performing. Imagine my surprise when Ambient ended up refunding us $250 because of the issues we had with UPS! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Out of all the things for my home renovation, purchasing bamboo floors from Ambient was by far the most painless. These guys actually care for their customers and it's evident right from your first call as they patiently answer all your questions about bamboo flooring, its types, and what is right for your home's conditions. I did an extensive research for my purposes - I customer support line is extremely efficient, without the annoying automated menu options.
The wait time is barely noticeable. The delivery was the only thing that could have been better. The adhesive pails were delivered all bashed up but Ambient was quick to replace them. The quality of the floor is excellent, as is the look. I ordered the Malaga Sawn to go with the beachy decor I was planning for, and it fit like a dream. Plus, being hand stripped and with a Janka rating of over 3000, this is perfect for my pup to run around on. Couldn't have found a better bamboo company or floor. Highly recommend!

I am a picky person in materials and usually do a lot of research before make a decision. Especially we were expecting a new little one to our family and safety is our No. 1 consideration (with least chemical). This has been my third time to buy bamboo floors from Ambient Bamboo for our old and new houses, and to help my parents remodel their house, too.
It is a as happy experience as before. Great products, a bunch of choices, great quality, great service, fast delivery, and unbeatable price! We are happy with our new house and don't plan to move in years. But I would definitely refer Ambient Bamboo to my friends!

Their website is excellent. I was able to order free samples of various flooring I was considering making it very easy to decide at home which product I wanted to go with. They were very responsive in answering all of my questions via email and phone. I went to the store and ordered my flooring choice and picked it up a few days later. They have a great selection, are very knowledgeable about their products, have reasonable prices, and great customer service too. I am a very satisfied customer.

My husband and I remodeled our first floor to make a great room. We installed the Ambient carbonized strand woven bamboo flooring in the entire space. The room is amazing and the floor adds a unique look. We love the floor and always receive compliments on it. It is also durable, beautiful and easy to maintain.

My wife and I met Ambient Bamboo reps at a home show in King of Prussia. They were nice at their booth but we didn't interact with them much. Our builder sent us to a local flooring specialist who's prices were awful and the sales guy was not pleasant so we found the card we had gotten from Ambient Bamboo at the home show. Wow - from the moment we called them and talked to Doug, 100% customer service in a non push, non-pretentious way. SO REFRESHING!
They sent us 6 floor samples for us to choose from and helped us work within our budget. Hopefully, we dont need any new floors for many years due to the quality of the strand woven bamboo we bought but if our friends ever needed some, we would highly recommend them. keep up the good work guys!

We are DIY'ers and are about to start our 2nd project using Ambient Bamboo Flooring. 3 Years ago we did our hallway and one of our bedrooms with the Strand Woven click lock bamboo flooring. We are very happy with the quality, look and how well the flooring stands up to a fair amount of foot traffic. We are now waiting on our shipment for an additional 800 sq ft of flooring.
The company has been amazing to work with, Being DIY'ers we have lots of questions and they have been so helpful and patient with us. Their customer service is also outstanding. I would highly recommend this company and their products.

First I would probably rate this a 2.5 but since I cant I will round up. We had Ambient Installed in our home June 2012. The product looks great however I found something that really bothers me. The product scratches and shows scratches very very easily. Almost too easily. I had Pergo in my previous home and it didn't scratch this easily (or it didn't show as well). An example of how easy.we have a plastic high chair in the kitchen and without a baby in it, if we roll it around it will show white scratches (not plastic rub off) all around the wheels.
These are soft plastic wheels and I would assume that it shouldn't show this much wear and tear. Overall I do like the look of the flooring but I would most likely use a different product if I had to do it over. Now I will add a positive. When we ordered the flooring the customer service was extremely good and we are very happy with the company itself.

I just Love the look of my new floor it was easy to install the people at Ambient Floors was also very helpful. What difference it made in my house I put it in my kitchen and hallway leading to my bathroom and bedrooms, I would highly recommend having bamboo in my house I also have it in a hallway and on stairs going up.
