Our home is 35 years old with carpet in dining room, living room and existing wood floors in entry way, kitchen, hearth room. We required removal of carpeting and installation of new wood floors in living room and dining room, as well as refinishing, staining of existing wood floor. SVB did exceptional work, laid out the schedule for work and stuck to the timeline.

They are true professionals and the finished floor is absolutely beautiful! The old floors and new floors are perfectly matched, the stain and grain etc look like they were placed at the same time. We highly recommend SVB Wood Floors!

I was skeptical that any floor refinishing could be dustless and high quality, but wow are these people the real deal. Estimate was reasonable, they got the job done on time and as promised. Workers (Luis and George) were timely, respectful, and did super quality job. The cost was so totally reasonable for the stunning change in the feel and perspective of our floors. I would recommend them any time and would come back to them in the future for any and all wood floor projects.

SVB did an outstanding job with our 22 year old red oak floors. From Steve in sales to all of the guys that worked on the floors. From replacing damaged wood, sanding, staining and finishing the floors and the amazing communication from the ladies in the office who set the appointments and followed up each day with a call telling us the time to expect their staff the following morning.

Everything was all done professionally on time and on schedule with very little dust. They said they were the best in town and they made a believer out of us. I expected the best and they produced the very best. Our floors are absolutely beautiful all thanks to their attention to detail and their amazing patience with us when we were selecting stains and the finish.

Never any pressure to hurry to make a decision and they put several stains on the floor along with finish so we could see exactly what we would be getting. They are amazing! SVB did an AMAZING job refinishing my hardwood floors, including several areas with severe pet stains. I assumed these areas were going to be visible regardless, but SVB made it to where they're nearly impossible to see. They were careful getting their equipment in and out of the house and did a fabulous job of cleaning up at the end of each day. The office staff was incredibly responsive and provided detailed information about what to expect each day of the work. The work crews were friendly and also great at explaining the process and what to expect. I highly recommend SVB!

They are over priced. Found an amazing company else were who came in at half the cost.

We called SVB Flooring to get a quote on whole house floor replacement. They came out and gave us hate we believed was a "QUOTE" with the exception we had to go to showroom and pick LVP. We accepted the quote and tried unsuccessfully for weeks to get on their schedule and go pick LVP. After several weeks of no returned calls, showroom being closed when website said it was open, we caught someone at the showroom and picked our LVP.

It was less expensive than what was quoted so naturally we expected the quote to decrease. When we got the new quote it increased by over $3,000, just a bad business practice. They told us discounts had expired before we got scheduled. Not a good business in my opinion, when you accept a quote they should honor their word.

Our family had the pleasure of engaging SVB for a project to remove carpet and install hardwoods in our main bedroom and to sand and re-stain the existing hardwoods in the rest of our main floor. I can't speak to how professional and thorough everyone with SVB Flooring was during this process, from the initial sales engagement to the crews who completed all of the work.

The diligence taken to sand the floors properly and completely, to ensure the right stain color was chosen to match sour existing floors with the new floors, and that we understood the process, timeline, and daily arrival of the crew, etc was exemplary. SVB made the extra effort on another area where our existing floors were left by another contractor, which was heads and shoulders above our last experience (not with SVB) with sanding and re-staining. Their staff are to be commended and SVB will always have a recommendation and referral from us!

Our original hardwood floors on the first floor were in need of sanding/staining due to wear and tear over the past 25+ years. We received quotes from multiple companies and selected SVB after they spent nearly an hour going over the process and our questions in detail. Other companies spent less than 10 minutes discussing with us. Although slightly more expensive than other quotes, we were impressed with SVB throughout the process and are very happy with our investment!

Each employee from sales, administration, and on-site workers were courteous and meticulous. They even took the time to show us several stain options to make sure we were happy with our selection.

I looked at quite a few companies before deciding on SVB to refinish my hardwood floors. I was impressed with the company's history and the quality of products used. The salesperson explained in detail to me the process and the constant communication I would receive throughout the week while my floors were being refinished. SVB seemed to understand the disruption in a family's life to completely move out from their main living space for a week and they were very good at detailing how long the process would take and when we could begin to use the floor again.

The salesperson also explained to me there would be some touch up necessary on the baseboards and trim, which just happens when the are removed and replaced during this process. There will be a few knocks here and there. We were fully prepared for that and accepted that risk. They were also very good at ensuring the color of the stain was exactly what I wanted - and it is.

My floors are beautiful. We are thrilled with the finished product on the floor. We could not be more disappointed with all the places that splashed stain that is impossible to remove without an expensive fix - my stained kitchen cabinets, my stone fireplace and the wallpaper in my bathroom. When I completed the survey sent to me at the completion of the job and noted all these problems, a representative of the company called, apologized and offered me a discount on a future job. Having SVB back into my home to do another poor quality job is a mistake I will not make again, even if it was offered to me for free.

And to make this poor decision even worse, no one bothered to come out and look at the problems I described in the survey. I'm posting photos here. Before you have someone redo your floors, discuss with them these potential problems and their remedies!

I highly recommend SVB floors for overall excellent service and craftsmanship. Earlier this month i needed my hardwood floors repaired. The hardwood flooring included the kitchen, dining room, and hallway, which are part of the open floor plan. They explained the process before proceeding: The first phase was replacing the water damaged wood planks in the kitchen followed by removal of the "shoes", which are the parts connected to the floor board.

They then sanded the entire wood flooring then cleaned up the residual wood dust. They then applied our custom wood stain. They returned the following day to apply the first two coats of polyurethane. Due to this being Friday, no service on weekends, they returned Monday to apply the final coat of poly. They explained we could walk on the floors, hard bottom shoes only ( no high heels) and we could also return our appliances to the kitchen. ( a dolly was required). Overall, customer service was excellent, the "floor" guys were conscientious and deliberate, taking care in the quality of their work. It is recommended to re-do hardwood floors every 10 years. I will be calling them again in 10 years, or earlier if tragedy strikes again.

Oh, I like my house again! Twelve years of dogs playing, food dropping, drinks spilling, and normal wear and tear had worn the finish completely off my wood floors. We did it ourselves the first time, but I just couldn't face the mess by myself this time. SVB advertises 99% dust-free sanding and offered a Home Show discount. The price was well within my budget, and they could get the job done before I had to take delivery of my new sofa.

In all the things you want from a contractor, they were spot on. Showed up on time, cleaned up the mess, and my floors are gorgeous! As advertised, there was hardly any dust, and they left me with a high-end Swiffer-type mop and cleaner. I've already recommended them to a friend.
