Services
Founder and owner Steven Kontak has more than 13 years experience in the hardwood flooring industry. Steven began his career in Southwest Florida working with top interior designers and custom home builders on many oceanfront estates from Tampa Bay to South Naples. This work offered many exciting and challenging opportunities creating one of a kind floors for each client.
Champion Hardwoods, LLC has access to most domestic and exotic wood species, including FSC certified wood flooring. Due to the close working relationship that we have with several wood flooring mills, we are able to offer the majority of wood species in unfinished, prefinished and unfinished engineered hardwoods.
One of the most important things to consider when getting your hardwood floors sanded or refinished is the skill and ability of the individual actually performing the work. The finished result of your floor is entirely dependent on their abilities and the quality of the machinery they are using. In fact, due to the time and commitment involved in the sanding process it is fast becoming a lost art.
We offer full services for your staircase needs, whether it is a refinish of your existing treads and risers or a complete new installation. One of the biggest benefits of having your hardwood flooring contractor perform your staircase work is that we can ensure that the stair products are a precise match to the flooring. This is especially critical on a custom milled or stained floor.
