A little overdue on sharing a review on Ward Hardwood Flooring in Evergreen, we could blame it on COVID-19 effects and the delay, no excuse for us not reviewing their product, the skill and professionalism as well as follow up regarding some questions we had. Their showroom and wood is impressive. The skilled team of installers, took meticulous steps to plan out the placement of the random width boards like a work of art, not just blindly grabbing the next board from the pile, to speed thru the job.
Fit and finish was exceptional! All, this done in April 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a pleasure working with Juan and Stefan, as well as the installers! Top notch!

I had a very small job; an entryway with 30+ year old ceramic tile to replace with hardwood that had been sitting in my garage since the previous owner put 1.300 sq. ft of hardwood on one level of my home. Ward was very easy to work with, super at follow up, despite some hiccups and I'd not hesitate to work with them again!

Ward did a relatively small project for me this summer - consisting of installing new hardwood flooring, small area of new tile, and refinishing one room of hardwood flooring. Overall, I'm happy with the finished product and the quality of their work, but the process was painful. (Note - I have done a substantial amount of work on my 1930s home so I am used to dealing with contractors!) When I first met with Dave Ward for an estimate, he seemed knowledgeable and I wanted to hire a local contractor. However, as the work progressed at my house, the severe lack of communication, Ward's apparent disconnect from what was happening at the project, and some obvious mistakes (initially refinishing the floor in the wrong room, for example) made the process extremely frustrating.
After repeated complaints, I will say that Ward went out of their way to make things right and to correct their mistakes. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe that my project was one that just initially "fell through the cracks" as it does seem that most of the employees do care about their customers' satisfaction and their reputation in the community. A couple of the employees expressed to me that they were hoping to improve communication with customers in the future.

We had a mediocre experience with them a little over a year ago at this point. The attention to detail on the floor refinishing just wasn't there. We had a very dark stain that we were taking back to natural and now we have several areas around the baseboards that still reflect that dark color. I called to have someone come out to fix it and we never received a call back.
My husband was hesitant to pay the final bill knowing if we did that we would never hear from them again and that's basically what happened. The floors do look nice but we also opted for the swedish finish expecting the resiliance of the floors to be more than that of the normal finish and that isn't proving to be true. Maybe we just misunderstood how durable, or rather not durable, the swedish finish was. It didn't seem worth the extra cost. Overall, the floors look better than they did but I just would have hoped for a better experience and customer service.

It had been a while since we had our floors refinished and Dave was extremely professional throughout the experience. The price was fair, they completed the job on time and the quality really shows off the oak floors. We have 20 ft vaulted ceilings and the work crew did a great job protecting our furniture and left the room dust-free. I definitely recommend anyone looking for quality hardwood refinishing to use Ward Hardwood.

Do NOT use these guys unless you want your project to take five times longer than you originally planned. I had a very simple job that, according to Mr. Ward, would only take two to three weeks. It took THREE MONTHS for them to complete the job. Also, in my opinion, Mr. Ward utilized some shady business practices concerning payment.
