Carpet exchange charges you to come out and measure and give you a price. They also charge you the full amount BEFORE the install. You can find excellent carpet dealers who will measure and give you a proposal for free and who will charge you 50% at order time and 50% AFTER a successful installation. Carpet Exchange's policy drove us to one of these competitors.

My experience with the Denver Location of Carpet Exchange and with Trevor Roxby as a salesman was very positive. He was helpful and attentive and a great communicator. I had good experiences with the installers also. My flooring is beautiful and my home is transformed. I highly recommend Carpet Exchange.

We were quoted a 2 day job. 1 was to be demo and the other laying the floor. We weren't contacted when they realized it was taking longer and when we arrived to what we thought would be a finished project it was a construction zone. There was dust and mess everywhere. They didn't cover anything to protect cooktops or other appliances. They didn't remove baseboards before demoing tile.
As a result we had damaged walls, baseboards and a big mess to clean up. They also used two different types of quarter round. It was really disappointing to say the least and doesn't look like a professional job or what we should get for what we paid for. I tried to verify if this was standard practice and express my concerns and couldn't get an email or phone call back. I have a another level that needs flooring but I'm not going to use this company.

We looked at several places and were told that it would be at least 12 weeks to get carpet. We went in to Carpet Exchange and Staci helped us find carpeting we could get in about a week. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about what type of carpeting we needed. She was able to provide multiple samples for us, and got our carpet ordered for us as soon as we made a decision. So easy to work with and great customer service!

I originally ordered my flooring in Longmont and there were some issues. Although the overall experience was ok, when issues arose the manager there, Jon, was not at all friendly. My sales person was often not available and I did not feel comfortable talking to the manager. I called Boulder and Tyler(and everyone I talked to there) went above and beyond in professionalism and assistance. I will shop there again, and if I were carpet exchange I would appreciate employees like that! They saved the carpet exchange reputation for me.

We just had the carpeting throughout our entire house replaced using Carpet Exchange. Everything about the experience was positive. Our sales person, Mary, was very helpful and kept us updated from the time the carpet was ordered until the time of delivery. The installers were fantastic. Each person on the team was hard-working, cordial, and accommodating. At the end of the job, they vacuumed, swept, and made sure that the place was immaculate. I would recommend Carpet Exchange without any reservation.

Carpet Exchange wants you to pay in full prior to install, then they send out the installers with half the order, they cut in your drive way, put carpet tack strips in door way so you can step on the needles if you step on the threshold, don't show up with materials to do appropriate transitions from carpet to concrete floor. The transition that is attempted is show below, the installers did return to do tuck n roll, but left nails on carpet and concrete to step on,

Very impressed with all aspects of the process at Carpet Exchange Denver. Staff was friendly and helpful in choosing the right style and color of COREtec Luxury Vinyl for our finished basement. They were also very helpful in designing our shower with tile style, colors and deco strip. Installers were ROCK STARS, friendly, professional, quick and flawless installation. We'll be back to have the rest of our floors done. Thank you!

Margie supported me in a challenging recovery from a water event. I am grateful for her expert advice, her guidance in making good choices, and flexibility as events happened that required changes. I learned that vinyl planks in a basement may involve significant extra expense to level the floor, but there is no way to know until the carpet is gone and the installer has arrived. Very pleased with the results. Thank you, Margie!

We spent quite a bit of money and were pleased with installation. Unfortunately, when we requested help on the front end we were misguided. When we sought assistance post purchase our first email was apparently missed but later received upon reaching out via the national online chat. Bottom line is that if I were to do it over again I'd go somewhere else for less money and maybe even better service after the fact. If you'd like additional detail and some present day photos less than a year later of our sad looking, yet expensive carpet - feel free to dm.

I was needing some new carpet for my living room for a property I was renovating. I had bedroom carpets installed by another company with some issues and I decided to try something new for the living room. I went to Boulder office and worked with Tylor to pick out a great wool carpet. Tylor was incredibly knowledgeable and explained how the process worked with their company.
He gave us a clear indication what range our quote would fall into even before the official measurements. We had three potential carpets that we wanted and he checked the inventory of all three and let us take the panels home. Other companies would allow us to checkout panels of items that weren't even available. I recommend working with Tylor at this location.

I want to amend my previous one star review. Margie, the assistant manager, responded patiently and with understanding to all my issues and resolved them successfully. The quality of the carpet was excellent, the installers were on time and did a great job, and in the end the price was adjusted to reflect all the inconveniences to me over the 3 week period.
As it turned out all the issues were due to communication errors/difficulties. So while I still recommend this company, I'd advise you to double check things during the process.

This review has to do with the service provided by the Carpet Exchange (Tony's installation was excellent). The final payment was charged four days before the installation, not the day before, per the invoice. This put the charge on a credit card billing cycle we had not intended. We did not get the receipt, so we did not know it had been charged, and we were not told that the carpet layer would contact us between 8 and 10 the morning of the installation, so we spent a lot of time waiting and wondering and making phone calls. When contacted, Margie was extremely unhelpful. She offered a recompense of some kind, but one week later we had received nothing and had no follow-up from her.

This place was awful. I used them after the flood and needed our entire basement carpeted. The installers showed up and didn't know how to roll out the carpet for cutting since it had snowed that day, they then attempted to bring the entire roll inside my home but couldn't move it since it was so large. I loaned them a dolly which then scratched my hardwood floors, unbelievable.
The manager Cameron was supposed to help with these types of things and he did nothing to remedy this situation. The installers were rude, mean, did a terrible job and left their lunch trash all over my house when they left. They never removed their shoes and walked all over my upstairs with dirty shoes on. The carpet is of terrible quality. I would not use or recommend this business to anyone.

Adam Lester and the team at Carpet Exchange did a fantastic job installing tile in our office. They did tile in our kitchen and two bathrooms -- including the tiling of a shower. The estimating, tile picking and installation all went smoothly. It's six months later and we're still loving everything. I highly recommend Carpet Exchange in Boulder.

EXCEPTIONAL is all I can say about Shaun Kandalec, the manager at Carpet Exchange (Platte River Dr)! My initial experience with the store (a salesperson) fell a bit short from stellar, but once I was in touch with Shaun, I could not have been more pleased. His knowledge of the products, his honestly, his follow-thru, his attention to detail, and his personality made it such a pleasant and comforting experience.
The home renovating process is overwhelming and he truly put us at ease and ensured we had as little worry as possible. When I was anxious about anything, I felt more than comfortable to be in touch with Shaun regarding my thoughts. He was always patient and reassuring, and he delivered on what he said he would. Shaun kept me posted on all updates and time lines- no kidding he called me!
You know when working with Shaun that your satisfaction is his top priority, no matter the size of your project We choose engineered hard wood floors and I LOVE THEM! Muhammad and his team completed our floors in the time frame that was set and did an amazing job! I was concerned about a few boards and he came by on a Friday evening to do the work that was needed!
We also ordered quartz counter tops and from Ben who completed the template to Ray and his install team--every last one of them was kind, respectful, and did their job perfectly! In a climate like Denver's housing market, it is priceless to find someone you can trust and I trust Shaun. We will definitely return for future projects. Please do not hesitate to go to Carpet Exchange for all your remodeling needs and please, please, if your experience is less than stellar, CALL SHAUN! I PROMISE you he will want to know and he will ensure your experience be stress free and wonderful!

The process of buying a house is stressful enough, who needs extra! Margie at the Boulder location was patient and kind, worked with my insane schedule and even got the carpet delivered and installed a day early! The guys installing the carpet were courteous and professional and got the job done (4 rooms, 2 sets of stairs, closets, and hallways) in a more than reasonable amount of time!
Even with an hour of power loss due to high winds! Having gone to a big box store to start my carpet journey, I'm glad I ended up at Carpet Exchange - better carpet for just the money spent! I'd recommend them to anyone.

Margie did an exceptional job of helping us replace our flooring after we had a water event. She was very helpful with picking out different designs as well as giving us many options to choose from. She was extremely professional and understood all the components of the transaction including the installation and working to get installers that did a great job.
The two installation crews, one for the hardwood flooring and the other for the carpeting, did a fantastic job of installing the carpet and flooring. We would highly recommend Margie and her team at carpet exchange to you. She did a great job.

My wife and I purchased the CoreTec flooring after seeing samples at the Denver Home Show in February 2017. I worked with Mark Smith out of the Carpet Exchange Boulder CO store. Mark was very attentive to our needs and he worked very closely with our needs and requirements. At first we had picked out hardwood for our floors, but we switched to CoreTec after evaluating CoreTec's characteristics and warranty.
We have 2 Australian Cattle dogs - one is very active and the other is enjoying life. Since CoreTec has this great warranty, it was simply a no-brainer that CoreTec was the way to go. Since we were in the process of doing a reno project with our LR / DR / kitchen / hallways, Mark scheduled the install for the middle of March 2017 - the flooring was the final stage of our reno.
Somehow or other, something fell through the cracks and the installation was delayed by one day. However, Patrick the installer stood up and came through with the installation. Patrick made up for the lost day by bringing in 2 additional installers to make up for the missed day. The floor was completed by around 12 Noon on Friday - 1.5 days after starting.
I couldn't have asked for a better installer than Patrick. He and his crew were unbelievable - everyone worked from the time they arrived around 8:15 AM till quitting time around 5:15 PM. You couldn't have asked for a more qualified installer than Patrick and his installation team. I was truly amazed by his work and attention to detail. Thanks to Mark and Patrick and Patrick's crew for the great job of installing our floor.
Our bedrooms and bathrooms are next on our project list. You can count on us returning to Carpet Exchange for these future needs. I will definitely be asking for Mark and Patrick again on our next flooring adventure. THANKS MARK / PATRICK / PATRICK'S CREW! Rich and Kathy Mead, CO 80542

I had a terrible experience. Will never buy carpet from here again. If you must, Margi was great but the company horrible. Our carpet was over $7k for three rooms and the seam of the carpet that is in the middle of my bedroom is very noticeable and looks like a big hump. It looks terrible. Certainly was not there on old carpet and I know and have been told all Capet comes in the same width.
They came out, agreed, and tried to stretch it a few times. The technicians agreed that there was an issue and then went back to the office and they sent out a gentleman to inspect for the third time. He decided nothing was wrong even though clearly the only reason he was there was because the last two gentlemen agreed there was a problem. Needless to say they did nothing for me. My carpet still looks horrible right in center of my bedroom. Shop elsewhere.

I recently visited carpet exchange because I am interested in purchasing LVT floors for my condo. I did a lot of research on different flooring types and decided that for my 2 dog family LVT was the best fit. upon entering I was not greeted. This was ok since everyone was busy. I found the LVT on my own. Then when I was finally ready to ask some questions, I had to lurk around the desk until finally some one acknowledged me.
It seems Mitch was the unlucky sales person who got to help me. Finally when I stared asking questions about there LVT, what is the wear layer, how long is the commercial warranty, what is the top layer of the vinyl made of. Mitch didn't have any answers. From what I could tell Mitch had no desire to sell me floors. I really liked the look of the Coretec floors, but will not be purchasing them here, or from Mitch.

Could not be happier with our recent carpet purchase (1800 sf) and they also did the new granite counter-tops in the kitchen AND beat Home Depot's price on the granite! Very precision work - I loved how they did the stairwells - rounded edges - it is beautiful! We did not price out the carpet at Home Depot, but we did check out the carpet selection & feel we got much better quality at Carpet Exchange for the same approx. price. Just great - will try to post some photos.

They have a good selection of carpet, and helped us to make a good choice. Unfortunately, due to a scheduling mistake the installers didn't arrive on the scheduled day. However, they apologized for the mistake and were able to reschedule for the following day. The installers did a good job. All in all, we would go back to this store if we need anything else, but would make sure to double-check everything.

I would rate 0 stars if possible. These guys seem like criminals - after being told my rug would be in after 2 weeks and that I'd be contacted when it came in, I waited 5 weeks and then eventually called them. They told me it had come in and they'd forgotten to let me know. I went in to the store to pick it up, and it was the completely wrong rug.
Without apology they told me that the new rug would be in within another week and they would call me when it came in. I waited another 4 weeks with no calls. Fed up from waiting 2 months to get my rug, I called to get my money back. The person I talked to was very skeptical and doubted that I should get my money back. He originally said he would only refund my money from the rug and not the rug grip which he was sure I had taken already. ( I had not - why would I need a rug grip without the rug?) I was told my money would be refunded within a week, if how things have gone is any indication, I will get my money back in about a year.
