I started this business in my garage over 35 years ago after a friend taught me the trade. Many things have changed over the years. New products have come along. Big box retailers have entered the game. Color and wood trends have come and gone more times than I can count. But through it all one thing has never changed-our commitment to be the good guys- we are people you can rely on to do what we said we wood (pun intended).
We're a local business that offers a start-to-finish process built on a foundation of reliability, expert craftsmanship, and attention to detail. We'll talk about your needs, wood selection, and color matching and answer any questions you may have about our employees, start date availability, and pricing.
Want to fix that beat-up hardwood floor before you move into the home you just purchased? Live in a historic home that has 100-year-old hardwood floors that need to be refinished, but you're nervous about maintaining the original look and value? You can go cheap and pray. 2. You can work with a team of industry veterans you can trust to respect your home and do the job right the first time.
Whether you live in a 100-year-old historic home with floors that are falling apart, or you have water damage in the kitchen of a newer home, there is no better option than Van Camp's. When many of our competitors see damaged floors, especially in historic homes, they either can't handle the work or will take the easy way out and recommend you install a whole new floor.

John Van Camp will charge you half just to get on his schedule then the other half the day his worker shows up. But I don't even think John looked at the floor after his worker finished. If so he would have realized that the floors were not vacuumed to remove all the saw dust and other debris from the floor sanding which caused my floors to look cloudy.
His guy also had the sander get away from him and take some drywall out that I I to pay to get repaired, he also messed up a door threshold. The estimates to fix their mistakes is about the same as these guys cost. Don't let them in your home.

John Van Camp and his team were very professional and a good value. They refinished all the floors in our 1932 home that were definitely in need of care. The floors were showing wear (grey) in the high traffic areas and had several gauges and other issues. John was pleasant and easy to work with and completed the job exactly on time. I highly recommend him and would work with him again!
