Mr Floor

We were very satisfied with Mr. Floor's repair of the water-damaged wood floors in our condo. Igor was kind and helpful during his initial inspection, and Joe and his team were professional and highly efficient during the floor removal process and re-installation. We were so impressed that they were able to complete a challenging job in such a short period of time, and with great-looking results that matched our existing floor perfectly. Thank you, Mr. Floor, for a job well done!

Couldn't be happier with the service provided - patching our existing hardwood floor, sanding, staining and refinishing. Dennis and the whole team were very informative and responsive throughout the process. They worked with our schedule and delivered on time and on budget.

We were getting the birch floors refinished on our new condo and called 5 contractors for estimates. We ended up going with Mr. Floor and have absolutely no regrets. Igor came out to give the estimate, he was professional and informative, immediately setting Mr. Floor apart from the rest. We were on a fairly tight schedule to refinish before our move-in date and Mr.

Floor was able to start the same week unlike some of the other options. The final estimate was competitive. (We got a couple lower bids, but they were really unresponsive with our questions and unprofessional in their manner) Request Joe as your Project Manager! He did a great job in addressing our concerns and informing us of what to expect. We're new to hardwood floors so clear communication is really important to us. Joe gave very thorough end of day emails and recapped all of our verbal communication so it was on 'paper.' It made us feel confident in their promises.

And the actual sander and sealer, Jerry and his partner, were excellent. We were told that he was the best and his work really spoke to that. Birch is apparently not the easiest wood to work with and Jerry really took the extra effort to do the job right. We came in after each day and checked on the work, and we were pretty shocked as to how little dust there was at the end of every day.

There was pretty much no damage to the paint on the walls, they completely sheeted off the kitchen, and they really got right up to the edge of all the walls and appliances, and even under the front of the fridge! We went with the matte finish, no stain (birch doesn't take stain well apparently), we're really happy with the results. Mr. Floor typically doesn't do matte finish, but they accommodated our request and went and got the top-shelf matte finish without changing the estimate. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Floor if you're looking to refinish.

We hired Mr. Floor in March to install pre-finished wood flooring in the living and dining room area of our townhouse. The entire process went very smoothly, beginning with the estimate through the completion of the project. We were extremely pleased with the communication, courtesy, efficiency and follow-up of each person we came in contact with.

Mr. Floor special ordered and installed our Denali hickory wood floors, installed Sardinia mudroom tiles, and installed backsplash in our home about 3 1/2 years ago. Aron and Joe were fantastic managing the projects from start to finish. Everything was timed according to our schedule and the work was done promptly and professionally. We meant to post our review much sooner. That said, we were then and still now are thrilled with the workmanship of this group. These upgrades truly made our house a home.

We just had these floors installed today February 15, 2021 during a big winter storm and they still went forward with the installation. We met with Igor in January and picked out what we wanted. Easy process. He was very helpful. Last week Joe contacted me to confirm our appointment. His team, Dino and George showed up this morning and completed the installation a little after 1pm.

They did an excellent job. Joe kept communicating with me all day with updates including pictures. Dino and George were great! They did a wonderful job with the floors. Dino made sure I was happy with the way everything looked. George even shoveled part of my walkway before he left.

I love love love the quality and service of Mr Floor. This is a late review for work that was done about a year ago but, after a year the floor is still amazing with no issues. The prices are reasonable and service was fast. I would definitely recommend Mr Floor and I would use them again.

Hardworking clean installers performed expert carpet installation in a timely fashion. Arrived at six a.m at our request to meet a furniture delivery deadline. Cleaned up and left house in immaculate condition. Highly recommended.

Carpet purchase and installation handled flawlessly and on time. Project manager Sosic was hands-on, and the installers were clean and professional. They came at 6:00 am at our request to complete work before scheduled furniture delivery. Highly recommended.

We worked with Jon for our kitchen cabinets, hardware and layout. He was such a pleasure to work with! The entire process was really seamless and Jon was so patient as I decided what I liked, didn't like and what would work in our space. He really found the perfect cabinets for us and is a joy to collaborate with.

I have been doing a lot of work on my house lately and have dealt with every type of workman and company and none come anywhere close to these guys. From the foreman through the workmen they were truly great. They took so much time to answer questions and spent a lot of time showing us choices and resolving issues we had. They were timely and clean.

The foreman went above and beyond to resolve a problem we ran into getting down on his knees and fixing the gap between the wood floor and the tile of the next room. And th efloors are beautiful! Thank you!

Mr Floors has been our go to for 19 years. They have installed pre finished hardwood, engineered hardwood, tile and recently refinished our oak floor in the kitchen. In all cases we've dealt with Igor. Recently the crew were all masked up and very covid aware. With Mr Floors you get long term employees, a competent project manager, shout out to Dino, quality prep, execution and results.

During the last project we were shocked at the almost complete absence of dust and the precision with which they avoided damage to the baseboards. Buy with confidence. Prices are competitive. We will certainly call them again.

This is the 2nd time Mr. Floor has installed hardwood floors for me. Both times the work has been outstanding! The men who performed the work were skilled workmen. Each day the project manager visited, took pictures of the day's work, and sent the pictures to me. He kept me informed. I have been very pleased working with Mr. Floor.

This is the second time we hired Mr. Floor. They installed new hardwood in our master bedroom and new carpet in our basement and two sets of stairs. We received quotes from multiple companies, some of which were less expensive than Mr. Floor. However, we decided to go to Mr. Floor because we knew the quality of the work and the commitment of service would be second to none.

And we were not disappointed. The project was completed early and on budget, and the floors and carpet looked perfect. Highly recommend Mr. Floor and we will work with them again in the future.

Mr Floor was wonderful to work with from start to finish. Prior to moving into my condo, my husband and I wanted to have the wood floors refinished and reached out to numerous floor companies. Mr Floor replied back to my inquiry very quickly and pricing was comparable to other companies. The project manager for our floors was very responsive and provided us with updates multiple times a day to ensure we were kept in the loop with the status of our floors.

They actually finished a few days ahead of schedule which helped us move in a few days earlier than we had planned. Our wood floors are absolutely stunning and I can't recommend Mr Floor enough!

Sales rep was generous to offer to meet us the same day to view carpet samples! It was kinda downhill from there. He asked us what we wanted to spend. When I asked about a carpet I liked, he said it was out of my price range and directed me where to look. When I asked about the carpet again, he reminded me again that it was out of my price range. I decided we were wasting each other's time and left. We went with another company that took the time to understand what we wanted and ended up paying a bit more to get something we really liked.

I had Igor and team do my floors in my condo, and they did a great job. Had a few issues with one of the installers (he kept scratching the floor up as he put my fridge back in place) so they had to replace that section twice, but beyond that they were easy to deal with. The cleaning solution they recommended (which they make/sell) is awesome. I've been constantly purchasing it since I got the floors installed.

It smells great, and does a very nice job cleaning the floors. Even my cleaning service has said they really like it (and I think they've started buying it for other clients).

Igor and his team helped me with my flooring needs. He initially came out for an estimate and was helpful walking me through my available options. I then went to his showroom to look at different colors and styles. He was very thorough, professional and detailed throughout the entire process. His entire team's communication was great. The floor turned out great! Thanks- highly recommended!

Before getting out floors refinished we shopped around for several quotes. We made the decision to go with Mr Floor after having personally met with Mark. Mark showed a high level of professionalism in agreeing to meet us on a Saturday (after he had been in Florida on Friday). That level of commitment to customers lead us to believe that Mr. Floor would produce on the quality they promise.

Our Site Manager Dino, was knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to producing a high quality outcome. Our floor refinishing an staining turned out fantastic! Basically the finish makes the floors look brand new. We had about 1000 sq ft of hardwood refinished and the whole experience from Quote to final product met my very high expectations and we are thrilled with the results! I would highly recommend Mr. Floor and suggest you request working with Mark and Dino.

Had hardwood floating floors installed in my 2bd/2ba condo: living/dining room, entryway, hall closet, and hallway (bedrooms are carpeted). Do I like the end result? Yes, looks good. But it certainly wasn't the smooth experience other reviews suggest. I was told I had to move all my own furniture (and did). My salesperson (Aron) told me multiple times that the replacement would take 2-3 days to complete.

My project manager (Dino) walked in on day 1 and, seeing the exact same thing minus the furniture, said "we should be done by next Tuesday" -- which was a week later. It ended up taking 4 days. They installed base shoes around all my kitchen cabinets (which were sitting directly on my old floors), which I wasn't warned about during the sales process.

There were lots of little glue scuff marks all over the floor when they were done that I had to scrape off, since they wouldn't mop off. The daily progress reports were nice, and the work crew was good about cleaning up after themselves for the most part. But this certainly wasn't a 5-star experience -- it was basically the epitome of "OK." Maybe some of these other reviews are grading on a curve due to the horror stories out there. (Or, maybe it's the incentive of the free felt pads they give you for leaving a review. I bought my own)

I have been a client of the Mr. Floor Companies three different times, twice for my downtown Chicago condo and once for our Condominium Association. In each instance their work was professional and the quality excellent. There's an attention to detail that was very important to me and while they're not the cheapest, they definitely offer the best value.

I attempted to work with Mr John Yu at Mr Floor in Skokie, and was incredibly disappointed. I say "attempted", because either he hates me or doesn't care to do business with me. I was attempting to source a cabinet to finish a kitchen renovation - older model Ultracraft. I went in to Mr. Floor on a Wednesday with one of the doors to my existing cabinets in order to match it and there were no sales people available to talk to. Fine.

I leave the door, with the understanding that someone would contact me. That someone was John. After a little back and forth, and my sending over the illustrations on what I wanted my finished kitchen to look like, I heard nothing. Eventually, I went in to the office in person and saw John. We spoke briefly, he recalled my emails, and told me that the item would need to be special ordered. Okay, fine.

I sent him what I needed, he let me know he would submit the order and tell me the price / expectation on delivery / etc before confirming the order. And then. nothing. For, like, 3 weeks now. And counting. Guess he doesn't want the money? I dunno. I ended up going to Dream Kitchens in Highland Park and working with Karen. She literally had the order confirmed and out the door within a single week, with delivery scheduled for 5/22. So save yourself some time and just go to Dream Kitchens.
