My husband and I have been fighting about the flooring in our house for years. I finally went to McSwain armed with absolutely no idea what I was doing and happened to run into Lee Jones. He was super friendly and patiently answered all my questions (I had a lot!) He was very professional and gave me honest and reliable opinions. He followed up but never pressured me and coordinated getting our rooms measured quickly (that experience was also fantastic and easy).

He carried samples to my car for me and was relaxed but informative through the whole process. I would 100% recommend if you are looking for an easygoing, knowledge, honest person to work with go to McSwain on Beechmont and ask for Lee to help you.

My experience with the folks in the store was great, they always tried to help where they could. The disconnect between the stores and production/install side is absurd. Our project took almost 4 months longer than we were told and no one could get an update/answer on why. Keep in mind, all we ordered was a runner for our steps.maybe 15 steps. When the installers did show up, the order was wrong. Had to wait even longer for the right order to get in and I did not get the sense that it was expedited in any fashion despite the original error.

Store staff/person who comes out to inspect and take measurements/installers are on totally different planets - they hardly communicate with each other. I at one point had to call the store and put them on speaker to talk to the installer in order to get anything to make sense. Once we had the right order it took TWO days to do a small stair runner install.

After a horrible experience with a big box store and their totally incompetent workers we decided to go with McSwains. What wonderful people to work with. The installers knew what to do and communicated through out the service

Lee was very helpful and knowledgeable. With his help, I was able to quickly narrow down my search and choose the right carpet for my home.

We are not happy with the seams in the carpet that was installed. They came out and inspected them and said the glue was probably too hot when they laid the carpet, but they didn't Think they look bad enough to fix. We spent 3k on carpet and all I can see are the seams!

Good news - great selection and quality installation. Bad news - the work takes forever. We started this process on March 5, 2021 and the work is still not done and it's November 22, 2021. Yes, eight months (going on nine) for a residential flooring job. And did I mention, it's still not done? Worse news - the agreement was we would give significant down payment and the balance would be charged once the work was completed.

The work isn't done and we got charged. This is afterseveral dozen calls (no exaggeration here) from us in the past few months asking for updates. We have been promised returned calls that never materialize, we have been promised that someone would call us "later today" or "tomorrow", we have been promised that the work will be completed next week, etc. McSwain then sends a guy that is supposed to get projects back on track, he takes a look at the (lack of) progress, assures us that he will get this on track and "take care of us", and gave us his mobile number to call.

The result. not much. More unreturned messages, wrong pieces being sent, contractors still leaving with the work unfinished because the needed parts weren't shipped, or the previous contractor didn't do the job correctly so they couldn't finish theirs - and more inanity. This has been a total poop show and I wish I was making this up or even exaggerating a little bit.

And did I mention, it's still not done? Finally, they call us back asking us why the account isn't closed (paid in full)! It's not closed, because the job isn't done. So we call back, no answers, no return calls, and they start running up our credit card without permission. And did I mention, it's still not done? So - buyer beware, be patient, and guard your credit card information! Nothing would make us happier than getting this resolved.

We have had a terrible experience with your company. We have paid thousands of dollars to have our entire house refloored. The installation process of our wood flooring and stairs was to begin on November 8, 2021, and was scheduled to be completed on November 19, 2021. The carpeting was scheduled to be installed on November 22, 2021. We were told two weeks was plenty of time to get the job completed. On Monday, November 8, 2021, Tommy and his crew arrived to remove the ol.

Great experience. Pat made the process simple when picking out the right carpet. It was a pleasure working with him.

If you are getting carpet in Cincinnati go to McSwains on Beechmont and ask to work with Mr. Lee Jones. I was in the store to look at samples ONLY as we are building a home out of state and cannot purchase from McSwain. Mr. Jones went above and beyond a the while knowing I would not be purchasing from McSwain. He not only showed me the samples I wanted to see, but look up pricing allowing me to compare, and made some recommendations for alternative options.

He also helped me learn more about carpets to understand various materials and the impact on wear. Mr. Jones was upfront, honest, and respectful. He clearly cares for his customers and the reputation of the store as a whole. McSwain is lucky to have him as an employee.
