We have a large 2 story house in San Carlos and had always wanted to change from carpets to oak strip sand-in-place flooring. Additionally we needed to replace the original (since '78) wood floor in the kitchen. There was a stairway that had to be done and a formal sitting room where we wanted something special like a parquet or herringbone pattern.
We talked to a couple of flooring companies and selected Blueline for their value and their willingness to work with our timing. We had an opportunity to live in another home in SF for a specific window of time so the schedule was important to us. Blueline started on time and did outstanding work. We hit a snag when the summer temperature and humidity elevated significantly for almost a full week causing the wood laid in a herringbone pattern to move.
It did settle down a couple of weeks later and could be then sanded, stained and finished. The crew worked around this glitch and managed to complete everything pretty much at target. It was such a pleasure interacting with everyone in Andrew's crew and we are so happy with the result. It is a dream come true for us. I highly recommend this company for hardwood flooring installation.

I can't express how happy we are with our new floors. Blueline floors was recommended by our interior decorator (she had worked with them many times). Andrew helped picked the perfect floor for our house and was very responsive. We had some difficult angles and room transitions. Wai, David and team did an awesome job installing the floors and baseboard. They were extremely attentive and the quality of their work is top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and family. AmazIng job!

Ended up not using their service but must say that if we had decided to go with a hardwood restoration after all, we would have gone with them. They were a bit slow on giving the written estimate, but their customer service was good as long as you're assertive. Andrew came out to look at our space. He was prompt, honest, and gave great practical suggestions for our floors. Did not feel like he was just saying whatever we needed to hear to get our business or that he was rushed to go somewhere else.

These guys are miracle workers! David and his team brought back my 60 year-old oak floors from purgatory. Originally, I had inquired about a floating composite floor. After discovering that my floor was salvageable, I opted to restore it. I could not be happier. These folks are the best at what they do, hands down. Based on another review I read, I'm not sure about their behind-the-wheel etiquette, but I guarantee they know how to bring back a wood floor. Perhaps one of them moonlights as an amateur NASCAR driver.

Wrote a review. All thumps have to start over. Yes after 25 years removed my carpets. Now to find a floor company to do the work. My son referred me Andrew who runs Blueline Flooring I called the next day. Spoke to Andrew and within 7days the work was competed. Professional from the top down Andrew coordinating his crew. This is where it gets impressive.

Blueline is the real deal. It is difficult to find quality and responsiveness in a competitive market like the Bay Area and Blueline really went above and beyond. I had to rent my house for a relatively quick relocation and needed to get the bathroom flooring redone.before the end of year holidays. Despite a stack of jobs that all needed similar response times, Andy worked with me to get the job completed two days before the deadline.
He did an amazing job keeping me informed before the job and checked in during the work to make sure everything was going right. The guy who actually did the work was on time, extremely professional, and completed things faster than expected. It's the little things that make a job go right, and Blueline has it nailed. Definitely give these guys a look.

My wife and I are so impressed with the quality of work by the Blueline crew on our floors. We decided to finally pull up our carpets and refinish the hardwood floors that were underneath carpet for at least the last 30 years. The original quote was competitive and since Blueline's service came from a trusted referral I had a feeling we would be in good hands.
We knew that the original quote would go higher, because we knew we had some damage under our carpets. Andrew was an excellent communicator and always was up front with costs and realistic as to what choices we should be considering. His crew was very professional, always on time, and very hard workers. I had concerns about the sealer and Andrew was very knowledgeable about the most current trends in low VOC products and helped guide me to make a choice to use a water-based polyurethane.
We are SOO happy! Our neighbors recently had their floors refinished and we could smell the odors from across the yard weeks later. With the product we used the house just a very minor odor just a few days from completion of the remodel. Can't wait to post a few photos! We went with a very matte/natural look. and LOVE IT!

Blueline Floors recently restored and extended the hardwood floors in my house and they did a fantastic job! My hardwoods were underneath carpet for decades with old hardened rubber matting melded to them - a total mess. Blueline cleaned up the hardwoods and made them look brand new. They also did an awesome job blending the old hardwoods with the new hardwoods that they installed.
I couldn't be happier with their work and professionalism. I highly recommend Blueline Floors and would chose them again in a heartbeat for future hardwood installation or restoration!

At my work we recently had installed some wood floors in our showroom. My boss said Blueline was very helpful when he visited them just a couple doors down. The installation experience couldn't have gone better. The man installing the flooring was very professional. He kept his work area clean and neat. We worked with Andrew to do hardwood floor for the entire house. Andrew and his crew are absolutely wonderful to work with. They are very thorough, careful, experienced, and reliable. His crew is well trained and they have excellent skills. Andrew also offers a reasonable price and if any change is needed, he would let us know ahead of time and consult us(often provide several options) before spending more.
They work hard to get the job done as soon as they can, and at the same time, they make sure to maintain high quality work. I highly recommend Blueline Floor located in mountain view. You will be very happy with their work!

Our floor experience was wonderful, and Andrew was with us every step of the way, from selecting the flooring (engineered maple) to fixing our severely sloped floor, and even long after when we asked him about fixing our accidental scratches and caring for it. I'm delighted we went with Blueline because the first thing people notice when they walk into our newly-remodeled home is how awesome the floors look.
This company was recommended to us by our contractor, and for good reason. This is a first-class company. 11/13/15 - It's four years later, and my husband and I were enjoying the sunlight streaming through the windows this morning. We still love our remodel, and the main factor is the floors. They still shine and look as great as the day we began living with them.
They now have scratches and a tiny nick or dent here and there, but that's because we use them and drop things once in awhile. But they are as beautiful as ever. I need to reiterate that ours was not an easy project, though Andrew had confidence and experience that it would be. A previous homeowner had extended the house a few feet, probably without permits, and it sloped badly. Andrew evened it out, and 4 years later it looks like it was always that way. And of course, we had it permitted by the city :) Thank you, Andrew and team, for creating a gleaming home that we love and enjoy every single day.
