I can't say enough good things about this company. We had some water damage in two areas of our kitchen on the wood floors. We have a very open concept house where the wood floors flow from the kitchen into our large living room. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to simply repair the small damaged areas and we would need to have all of our wood floors redone so they would match. Cort Birmingham came in and assessed and assured that they could fix the damage without having to do the entire floor.
His crew came on time, was professional and was minimally disruptive. They applied the third coat of poly yesterday and my floors look amazing! You would never know they were damaged and they completely match. And to boot, the cost of the repair was very fair! I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again! HIGHLY recommend!

Ted was able to replace ceramic tile in my kitchen with hardwoods that matched the rest of my downstairs area. I had been told by another installer that it couldn't be done without totally redoing the whole downstairs. Ted was able to make an amazing match and you can't even tell it wasn't done at the same time as the other flooring. Communication was great and he did what he said he would. If I could give him 10 stars, I would! Floor looks amazing!

We had a substantial amount of floors pulled up and replaced and others refinished by this company. The scheduling is terrible, they turned up a day early when my contractor was still finishing. Came in, started the work, got in his way and when I asked why I was told that it was convenient for them. Ted the owner is flat out rude and makes it very clear that business will be done at his pace and terms.
The crew was sloppy, market up wall, banged equipment around were in a huge rush to get the job done quick rather than right. My second floor needed some expertise to work out the best type of floor and Ted showed his expertise here but coming up with a great solution. However the installer rushed, put down several bad boards and tied to fix it by stuffing putty in the bigger holes.
They started putting in thresholds but got short on time so ended up sticking some down in the last few doors that did not match. The list goes on - but finally after a year they just got done. Thats right - a year, they do not follow up, they do not return calls and they do not get the job done. To top it off I get an email asking to schedule the final work on the same day they turned this over to collections - so they know the work is not done but want to get paid even after I paid them 90% 12 months ago and held the rest until the last work gets done. Avoid these guys, they have all the skills to be a good company but the owner is rude, they rush the job and do not fix the mistakes in a timely manner.

Ted Birmingham was referred to us through our neighborhood website and next door neighbor. People from the site have wanted to know if we were pleased with the results. We are ecstatic with the results. They were punctual, professional, accommodating. We ordered matching stained shoe molding for the baseboards and when they showed up with white painted shoe molding, they corrected it the next day. We have recommended them to all the people on our website and half a dozen others, already. We will definitely be using them in the future.

We had a herringbone patterned floor that we wanted to be refinished and every other company in the area we brought in for estimates were afraid to attempt the job. That was until Ted Birmingham Flooring came in. Mike took quick measurements, generated a quote before the end of the day and worked closely with us to schedule our job to meet our tight deadline (They started over labor day weekend to make it happen!).
The entire 1,500 sqft space was completed within 3 days and they truly look great. Ted Birmingham finishing truly saved the day and we are extremely pleased with the outcome of our floors.

Let me just start by saying that I don't think I have ever written a negative rewiew about anyone before. With that said, Iam so upset.we just moved into our house last week.had the wood floors redone before we moved in and it's terrible. To start they showed up two hours late. Then the guy showed us samples on our floor. We picked a walnut brown color, it came out black, I mean BLACK!
The finish scratches so easily.even an empty box pulled across scratched it. I have had wood floors for 25 years in 3 different housea and I have never seen a floor finish this bad. The company was so unprofessional when we called them.first the rep said "oh yeah, this is bad. I'm so sorry, we will fix it" later that day he calls and said his boss said they are fine and won't do anything.
We were willing to pay half for them to redo them even though it was 100% their fault. Every single person that comes in the house asked us.what the hell happened to your floors. They also didn't cover any cabinets like they said they would.they got scuff marks everywhere, they told us they would have a cleaning crew come in on Thursday only for us to show up and to see that not only did they leave all my doors unlocked, they didn't clean and left food in the house all over. Had 2 wood floor companies come to give us new estimates and they were shocked at how bad it really was. Needless to say, I am so upset.
We can't fully unpack because they need to be done again. We are Going to have to move into a hotel for a week while they get done. Pay another company to fix it. They came highly recommended.but I guess we really should have done more research.

I love, love my new floors! I had a leak that caused the floors to buckle and called them for a quote. They were significantly less than the next company. I wish I could post a pic. They look great! Done in 2 days! And they cleaned up after the work- less work for me! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately, they do not do the work discussed, they leave your house a mess and they damage your property without any effort to attempt to resolve the issues. They just contact you to bill you. The quotes they provide do not give the full story. When asked how much of the floor was included, the receptionist responds that she believes all is included.
When asked again 2 weeks later, she confirms inclusion of all the flooring. When pushed to ask the Manager that did the quote, she says she will ask and then never does. Three months after the fact, both claim we never asked about that section of flooring. My wife asked the day of the quote and I did as mentioned here. So, most of floor was done, remaining section does not match. Also, home left with dust all over the place.
This contractor does not believe in leaving a home in the same or better condition than when the project started. Receptions says, "this is not a cleaning business." The tape used to cover the cabinets with plastic, pulled the finish off the cabinets. Team member says he didn't use tape, but my photos show the truth. Manager that did the original quote said he would come out to my home, but never did. Ted Birmingham never got involved, even after I left a voicemail on his phone. Birmingham referred to attorney to collect last half. Never tried to work with me.
