DO NOT USE! I hired Designer Lifestyles on 8/28/21 for a 70ish sqft bathroom and they started work on 10/13/21. It has been 155 days since they broke ground and they still haven't completed the job. I had to finish the work myself because of the poorly managed project and project timeline, plus it was costing me tens of thousands of dollars with floating a 2nd mortgage, paying Designer Lifestyles, lost revenue from a renter and other things like utilities. Also, it put everything else that needed to be done behind schedule. Thankfully, it wasn't my current home or I would have been without a bathroom for 5 months.

Last week, I received an email stating while work wasn't completed, I needed to come in and pay the final invoice. Then threatening me later in the email stating if I didn't, they would forward over to a collection agency and put a lien on the house. This blew my mind, you don't pay a contractor in full if they haven't finished work (especially one that has taken 5 months and still hasn't completed the job).

I had already paid a deposit and a draw, so I was current on my bill. I went to talk to management to give them an opportunity to make it right and they were flippant and played the let's blame all of the external factors, but not ourselves. They even tried to blame me, the customer. They had someone at my property about 30+ times and still didn't finish a 70 sqft bathroom.

A job of this size should take a week of work, give or take, not 5 months. They were reluctant to give a project schedule, which I never received, after asking multiple times. But, I did get them to tell me on 12/1/21 that they will finish in 2 weeks. Well, 92 days since that date (12/14/21), they haven't completed the job. Like I said, I had to finish the job myself.

I have not and will not recommend Designer Lifestyles. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and ask me anything. I don't want someone to go through, what I had to go through during this whole ordeal.

I highly recommend Designer Lifestyles, from the very beginning of the process to the end, they are reliable and very honest. Jon came to my house to give me and estimate, he told when they could do the work and how long it would take. There were no surprise charges or delays, except the ones I caused by changing something. Linda help me design the perfect kitchen.

She helped me work through the overwhelming amount of choices. She made the process very manageable. The contractor that worked in my house was very professional and they cleaned up before they left. I had a great experience with Designer Lifestyles. Will hire them again.

1) They wasted months of my time with a sales associate that they now claim did not have authority despite providing the bid, emails and months of visits, discussions for the project, along with a tour of their facility, meeting Jon and Dean, and seeing a prior project site - all with him. 2) They refused to honor their bid provided by such associate, desiring to raise it above $147, 025. 3) They never provided a contract to proceed during a month of waiting for one and I was not wiling to proceed without a contract. 4) At the request of their sales associate, I provided a contract for their review at substantial time and cost to me. 5) They parted ways with the sales associate. 6) They hired an attorney to threaten me if I should post these facts as their way of solving the above. Needless to say, I would never hire these people for anything.

Extremely pleased with the experience. Had flight of stairs and hallway carpeted. From sales to installation, very well done. Cheers

We have used this company several times over the past decade. They always provide excellent service. They are very responsive and go the extra mile to make sure the job is done timely and cost effectively. They have a showroom with tons of options with great style and price point. They had a much better selection than the big box stores or even flooring stores. Highly recommend.

We had Designer Lifestyles complete 4 projects in our home: bathroom shower remodel and tile flooring, bedroom carpet install, kitchen tile install and living room LVP install. The work was completed within a reasonable timeframe and we were very pleased with the quality of the results. Lee was our tile installer and did the shower remodel. He is more of an artist than an installer and very customer focused. We also received guidance from the designers to aid in the selection of flooring and shower tiles. Overall, a great experience.

It was a great experience and we highly recommend the DL team. They are totally professional, creative and communicate well. The project managers kept us in the loop and were always available. And, they came in on budget and finished earlier than scheduled! They helped us redesign our 1960's kitchen space from scratch: cabinets and appliances, drywall, plumbing and electric, painting and lighting. We couldn't be happier with their workmanship, positive attitude and their willingness to go above and beyond. They're our first call for all future home projects.

We really had a great experience with Designer Lifestyles. From the time Corey came out to give us a quote to the time the installers left they made us feel comfortable about the work being done. Jon and crew are wonderful! They were extremely accommodating of quirks in our schedule, last minute adjustments, and did an outstanding job installing flooring in two bedrooms and getting rid of a connecting door between them! Pretty happy so far. Aaron has done shower demolition, installed new drywall with insulation, done a few electrical changes, installed can lights in shower, and has finished installing tile, flooring and shower fixtures. Toilet and crown molding go in today. It's messy with lots of drywall dust but looking beautiful. Will update the finished product! Highly recommended as far as craftsmanship, communication and timeliness.

We chose Designer Lifestyles to install our engineered hardwood floors in our bedrooms and living room. The quality of their work is EXCEPTIONAL and we had a terrific experience from the beginning of the process until the job was completed. We were impressed from the first phone call requesting an estimate, which we received in writing with a complete breakdown of the costs.

The scheduler called beforehand confirming the time the installers would arrive, (and they did arrive on time) and worked very precisely and thoroughly until the job was completed. I would definitely recommend Designer Lifestyles to anyone who is planning a home improvement. They operate on the highest level of professionalism and you will not be disappointed. I might add that you might find a company that charges slightly less, but I'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for."

They did my kitchen backsplash today--- it is absolutely beautiful! The guys (including Josh and Alvin) were very meticulous in placing the glass tiles; the tile spacing is perfectly aligned and the grout was applied with no rough or messy edges. ( I'm picky!). Great Work! They'll be who I call when I do my bathroom and when I pull up my carpet and re-do the floors.

Designer Lifestyles recently did some work in my home and I could not be more pleased. Their staff is professional, prompt and respectful. Their work is fantastic. I have used several other flooring companies in the Jacksonville area and none compare. Save yourself time and call them first.
