Services
Armorshine will remove and dispose of existing floors, whether damaged by water or termites, stained by pets, or to upgrade from tile or carpet. Our teams are experienced, careful and fast. Familiar with numerous types of commercial and residential flooring, our swift, experienced installers will complete even the most complicated designs.
This flooring is generally easy to install, but finishing the surface is more complicated and has to be done on site. You have to pay for finishing on top of the cost of the wood. For quality results, you should hire a highly skilled professional to sand and stain the floor, then to apply three or four coats of polyurethane.
Each species of wood has its own grain, color, and veining. Your choice of species depends on your personal preferences and the effect you want to achieve. The most popular species are oak and maple, followed by birch, ash, beech, cherry, and walnut. Exotic, deluxe woods are also available, such as Brazilian cherry, mahogany and sapele, which are very warm in color and extremely hard.
I was in Jacksonville this week and it was the first time that I had seen the hardwood floors that you refinished at 1401 Challen Avenue. They look great! Thank you so much. I wanted to thank you for the job well done at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. This customer can be difficult to deal with, but he was very pleased with the work you performed this week.

The owner Mike and his employees did an excellent job refinishing our hardwood floors. Our floors were in really bad shape with a great deal of stains. When I saw the finished result I could not believe the complete transformation. Our floors are now drop dead gergous, thanks to Armorshine. Not only was he the least expensive, but was the most knowledge contractor. I highly recommend this Awesome Company to anyone wanting to do anything with your hardwood flooring needs!

I personally have not received services from this company, however at the tire shop, the owner brought in a work truck to be serviced, not only did he not wear a mask (in the middle of a pandemic, when the store has signs posted), he proceeded to yell at the tire store employees. The employees maintain composure and tried their best to help him with his need but he never changed his tone or stopped yelling.
He did not have an appointment but demanded that his work truck be serviced. Now, like i mentioned before i haven't received serviced from this company but based off other reviews i've read the owner need to learn how to treat people with basic human decency. No matter how upset you are, as an owner of a business, you should know not to yell at people for things they cannot control.

Mike and his group of workers were outstanding for my latest project. They helped me bring back to life the floors from a 1940 house in Murray Hill. They had a great plan. Sand them down, then use a mixture to clean the wood and lift the grain up. Then they applied a beautiful stain, and added at least 2-3 layers of poly to seal the floor. There is a great transition between the old Pine and Oak planks. They even fixed some of the damaged floor as well. Outstanding work and so much so I have had others ask for Mike and Dave on other projects. These guys are good!

I used Armorshine ten years ago for my house in Avondale. It was a good job and cost over $10,000. Since then, I have renovated ten rental properties. I have one near Ortega that was flooded in the hurricane. Armorshine had just replaced most of the wood floors about a year ago. All of the floors were ruined in the storm. I received three estimates, one of which was from Armorshine, since they had just worked in the house.
It was by far the highest quote. I went with another contractor. I then get a nasty, rude, unprofessional call from Mike, the owner, saying that he had driven by the house and someone else was doing the work. I told him that he was the highest quote and I went with someone else. He then told me not to call him again and that he would not give me any more estimates.
He also said that I was "wasting his time" and that I called him "just to get his price." Well, yes, that is why you give free estimates -- to give your price. I told him that I would let others know via social media and he said he would sue me for defamation of character. I guess he doesn't know that you can't sue if the review is true, and this is all completely true. If you call him to get a quote and don't give him the job, prepare yourself for an obnoxious phone call berating you for "wasting his time."

Mike and his guys did an amazing job with our wood floors. Very professional from the initial consultation and estimate to the daily work being done. I felt very comfortable with them in our home and the finished product speaks for itself. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Armorshine to anyone wanting wood floors.
