We have used Through the Woods for years now to keep our historic Hyde Park Bungalow porch and interior floors gleaming. We recently had an issue with our interior floors which caused the planks to buckle. Through the Woods was able to replace the damaged planks and seamlessly match the new planks with the surrounding floor. They also sanded and glazed our exterior porch floors which now look as good as new. Passerby's cannot help but compliment us whenever we are outside - truly incredible craftsmanship! Cannot recommend them enough!

Top notch craftsmanship and service. Through the Woods installed maple hardwoods and new stair treads a few years ago and it came out gorgeous. They took their time making sure the details were all just right, with extra care spent ensuring the subfloor was level or where necessary, sloping as gently as possible. Chris spent hours and hours finding just the right stain for our oak handrail, and came back at no charge to fill some big scratches in the stair treads that we made shortly after the install (dropped a metal baby gate down the stairs).

Just recently, we replaced our Saltillo tile with LVT creating a huge height difference next to the wood. Paul from Through the Woods came out and built custom transition pieces out of extra floor boards from the install, and they came out great! Picture of the transition and stairs attached.

Through the Woods in Tampa is an outstanding local business that I cannot recommend highly enough. They did an outstanding job replacing our hardwood floors downstairs, upstairs and refinishing our stairs. This was a difficult project but the entire team from the owner (Chris) to Dennis, Jen and the team that actually installed our floors did a fantastic job.

They added a lot of value to our home, and showed us how much they cared. All of our furniture had to be moved, but they treated it as if they owned it themselves. They kept us involved every step of the way, and delivered on all of their commitments. I highly recommend them if you are doing a renovation and have to change out your floors.

We had a leak in our kitchen which ruined our engineered hardwood floors. I interviewed two other companies and chose Through the Woods for a few different reasons. When I first met with the founder Dennis I was really impressed with his knowledge of wood and flooring in general. Not that I know anything, but he was the third contractor I talked to so I had some knowledge at this point.

He took quite a bit of time with me exploring my options and describing different product options. Since we had oak floors and wanted to stay that way, Dennis recommended Somerset Red Oak Engineered Hardwood. He explained the cost benefit of the product in that the veneers are sawn instead of rotary peeled like some cheaper brands. Also they offer generally longer length boards and are made exclusively in America from American wood.

He seemed very meticulous in his attention to detail in explaining the process and his estimate. Once we had the schedule nailed down the owner Chris took over and managed the project. The crews were timely and polite and left the job site very clean each night. They communicated regularly through the whole process and did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it.

The crew finished the job ahead of schedule and results are fantastic! The floors looks beautiful and the installation appears flawless. I highly recommend this company. Thanks, Through the Woods!

If it were possible to give a zillion stars that is what they would get! We cannot say enough great things about TTW, Our experience from the very beginning to the very end was second to none. Our floors were water damaged, TTW encouraged us to restore and refinish and the results were shear perfection! This by far was the least stressful renovation imaginable. Through the Woods Fine Wood Floors installed gorgeous wood flooring in my large home. Dennis and Chris were very professional as all their workers to get my job done right. I get so many compliments on my gorgeous floors. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again!

I would definitely recommend Through The Woods for tile or wood installation. My wife and I worked with Chris, Dennis and Paul remotely to get wood floors installed in several of our condo rooms and they were professional, competent and easy to work with. The process of selling my property came up very quickly. I was very stressed and I needed flooring work done before listing. Through the Woods was truly a pleasant experience from start to finish. I had spoken to and received estimates from other companies, but needed solid guidance on installing new wood floors in our home. Dennis was incredibly patient and most helpful in guiding me through this process, meeting me at the showroom multiple times and allowing me to take several rounds of samples home.

We ultimately chose a DuChateau floor with an oil finish, and Chris carried out the installation of well over 3,000 sq ft of new floors with their team of installers. Chris has also been a pleasure to work with, and was most helpful in repairing parts of the floor that have been damaged throughout the renovation. He also was very helpful educating us on the maintenance process of oiled floors, which happen to be beautiful.

He did an awesome job on matching our existing stair treads to our new wood floors as well. If you want a trustworthy team in your home, and you want the best final product, this is the company for you.

Our new Brazilian Cherry wood floors were installed in 2015. Chris was very professional and responded to all concerns. This summer (2018) we had moisture ruin part of the floors in two rooms. After calling Chris, he was extremely professional and took care of the problem immediately. Certain pieces were replaced in a timely manner. I would recommend this company. They are courteous and try to please the customer. They are professional and are recommended.

I live in a historic house built in 1926 that has the original wood floors in the original part of the house and newer wood floors in a major addition built about 20 years ago. Dennis provided sound advice on how best to repair and refinish various areas including creating two custom thresholds. Chris was great to work with, set up the work crews and got the project rolling.

I highly recommend these folks. My wife and I recently built a new home. We made plenty of mistakes, but hiring Through the Woods is one of our best decisions. We installed 2000 ft of Du Chateau wood and the floors came out beautifully! Surprisingly, there are lots of details to get right on flooring. Dennis, Chris and team did a good job explaining and delivering.

It's unlikely your contractor is gonna volunteer using Through the Woods because they aren't the low bidder. For us, since we plan to live in our house for years, using Dennis and team for a top-quality installation worked well. Thanks guys!
