Great customer service from Ron Alleger. Appreciate the honesty as he provided several other options of places where I could purchase material. (I had to get my vinyl flooring from another provider so he tried to streamline things for me). I am glad we were able to purchase from him in the end. Appreciate the attention to detail and the great customer support.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience in the end. Front end seemed to go well, but as soon as there was a hiccup the wheels fell off. Sizable flooring purchase for about 1500 SF for 5 rooms and stairs. Carpet arrived from manufacturer, sat in warehouse unchecked until install date, only to learn there was a flaw and it could not be installed. Back up carpet was a month out.
They did offer about a 5.5% discount due to the delay. The kicker was after the delay to get the product, days before the 2nd install, we were told their installer was no longer available & it was up to me, to find my own installer. No back up, no alternative plan, just if you want it, you figure it out. I incurred additional costs, stress, a delayed move and wasted hours of my time securing an installer (calling around to all the other flooring companies I probably should have gone to in the first place). There are plenty of flooring companies in San Diego. M Austin doesn't need to be your first choice.

M. Austin Floors installed my beautiful maple herringbone floors 18 years ago. After my dishwasher leaked, I worked with Ron Allegra to replace my flooring. It was stressful dealing with my unresponsive insurance adjuster, but the bright spot was dealing with Ron and his team. They kept me informed throughout the process. My installer, Cody, was very reliable and respectful. I am thrilled with the outcome. I highly recommend M. Austin!

About 6 years ago, we purchased an Italian-imported wool carpet from M Austin to cover (wall-to-wall) our ocean-view condo. The saleswoman at the time, Brenda, spent a great deal of time with us, going over various products until we finally settled on our choice, a beautiful carpet by Radici, a company based in the north of Italy. After an anticipated wait for the carpet to arrive from Italy and then ultimately be installed, we were delighted with the final result: it looked beautiful (and the installer, Oscar, who personally did the installation, was excellent - a true craftsman).
To this day, our Radici wool carpet is very precious to us. M Austin, and owner Ron Alleger, were 100% behind their product and service, from beginning to end. I consider them to be a most highly reputable and honorable business, selling top quality floor products and with the highest standards. I would not hesitate in buying from them again.

I've written up the pros & cons regarding our purchase of wood flooring from M. Austin. Pros: 1. They know their products. 2. They provided excellent support during the entire process. 3. They were more than willing to work with us to ensure we were quite satisfied with the end result. 4. They recommended an excellent wood floor installer. 5.
The company that sold us our porcelain floor tile referred a number of installers that each turned out to be flaky. When we mentioned this to M. Austin, they referred an installer that turned out to be most excellent! Cons: 1. If I think of any, I'll update this review.
